Well as this moment I am going to fail my Engineering class; I feel that it is not my fault that I am failing, becuase I have put more time into this class then any of my classes before. My math class is still fun even though I am also doing poorly in that one, but thats just becuase math is difficult for me, and I was focusing on my Engineering class. Other news my car broke down, and had to put a new front axel and clutch into it, And then it broke down again, but a nice guy named Bob is going to help me fix it this time. Me and Amy are going to be moving to corvalis this fall more then likely to attend OSU, and I can’t wait.

So February 19th marks the day Dawn of War 2 came out. That friday night was the first time in about two years I lost sleep playing multiplayer with my friends, and then yesterday, was the first time since Starcraft: Brood Wars came out that I beat a single player campaign in a RTS.

The multiplayer is a fast paced game that really does feel like playing the table top game. Like most games at launch is has its bugs, but Relic is very good about fixing thier games quickly. In the multiplayer unlike the first game you do not spam squads, you get very few squads and you have to keep them alive, becuase they level up and get alot more powerful.

In the singleplayer game, you play an up and coming Force Commander and your slowly granted access to different types of squads ranging from a tatical squad to the powerful dreadnought. Your squads stay with you for the entire game and they gain experiance and you can equip them with gear that drops in the missions you run. It took me about 8 hours to beat it, but that was a perfect length; if it was any longer I think I would have started getting bored.

Currently I’m taking MTH 251 and EAS101 which translate from college code to Calculus 1 and Basic Engineering Theory. My math class is pretty good and I really don’t have a whole lot to say against it except for the book cost almost 350 dollars. The engineering class on the other hand is a whole other topic. The teacher has a doctorate in mechanical engineering, and the class has over 150 students in it. The biggest problem is the teacher does not want to teach the class, and if he does he teaches it very poorly. We just had an assignment to use a program called MatLab, which is a pretty neat program, but we had to do a script in it that required the user to input multiple variables. In another programming language that would absolutely be no problem, you learn that on day one, but in MatLab the help file is an absolute waste of time, so I went and assumed the teacher would have taught us how to do it, but oh was I wrong. I went through about 15 different PDF files of class notes and tutorials that he had supplied on Matlab, trying to find out how to do user input, and it was not there. It just wasn’t. The first freaking assignment problem had us do something that he hadn’t even taught us how to do! I had to track down a tutorial from another freaking college! I am just trying to get through this class with a passing grade and I hope to god that the next classes will be better. (and not taught by this teacher)

I’ve started playing Fallout 3, it was one of few games last year that I bought and basicly just skipped over for something else. I’m really enjoying it this time through I’m about 2 to 3 hours into it and I’m just getting a hang of the way everything works in the system. I just saved some dude from some radioactive vampires. My biggest complaint besides the very rare crashing to desktop, is the fact that it doesn’t auto save enough for a game that can just spawn some enemys that just come out and destroy you, so it makes you hop out of game and save a whole lot. It also has a serious case of consolitus, with all the text way to huge and the “hit the spaceĀ  bar to continue” where it should obviously be a “a” button on a controller. I’m looking forward to sinking more time in to the game when I have some more free time.
